MEDINA SUNRISE ROTARY BECOMES A $5,000 COMMUNITY SPONSOR WITH EMPOWER SPORTS

"Empower Sports is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization committed to providing sports and exercise programs for children and adults with physical and cognitive challenges," said founder and executive director Tom Heines, who was joined by his colleagues Ben Leohr and Demetria Stanfield.

Our vision is that all athletes with special needs would have access to meaningful sports and exercise programs that foster inclusion, diversity, tolerance and friendships between those with disabilities and their typically-functioning peers. Founded in 2011, Empower Sports hosts year-round programming which serves more than 300 families in Northeast Ohio. We invite Medina Sunrise Rotary to join us and have a positive impact in the community, helping children in need, and making a difference.
