"The Medina Community Recreation Center welcomed families and children of all ages to board the POLAR EXPRESS on a snowy Saturday night at 6:30 PM," announced Train Conductor Judy Cross from the  Medina Sunrise Rotary Club.

Many children arrived, wearing pajamas and bringing snuggly blankets, to watch the movie, "The Polar Express", in which a young boy embarks on a magical adventure to the North Pole on the Polar Express. During his adventure he learns about friendship, bravery, and the spirit of Christmas.

The Medina County District Library hosted a pop-up library filled with Christmas books. There was popcorn and hot chocolate, fun holiday crafts, Christmas carols and lots of holiday cheer, and a special visit from Santa Claus at the end of the evening. This family holiday event was free for recreation center members.
