"Junior Leadership Medina County (JrLMC), now celebrating its 15th Anniversary, is designed to explore the potential and shape the future of high school students by promoting teamwork, developing leadership skills, building self-confidence, fostering personal growth, and encouraging respect for diversity," said Director Susan Vlcek to Medina Sunrise Rotarians.

The program includes five class days, four retreats, and four optional days from August through May. Each program day students will visit key county organizations and their leaders in areas of business, health care, government, and more.  Our focus is on interactive learning experiences, improved leadership and communication skills, and valuable connections with students in other schools in a non-competitive, collaborative environment.

Register online now for our first annual Healthcare Career Opportunities Program which is hosted by Medina Hospital - a Cleveland Clinic Hospital. The 3-hour program is scheduled for Tuesday, February 27th, from 3 to 6:00 PM. It will feature over 20 professional speakers with general and specialized break-out sessions, including: tele-medicine, surgery, nursing, medical IT/coding, orthopedics, critical care medicine, finance/billing, cardio vascular medicine, and many more medical specialties.

All high school sophomores and juniors residing in Medina County are welcome to apply for a better understanding and expanded knowledge of Medina County and its opportunities for future leadership roles. Grow in your understanding of your county, your peers, and yourself!
