A sunny May morning and warm smiles from Rhonda Wurgler, Anna Guy-Leach, and Maria Richardson of the Children's Center of Medina County greeted president Roger Hassler and the Medina Sunrise Rotarians for the presentation of a Ten Thousand Dollar check to help in their community mission of "Healing Families, Changing Lives."

Hope is available, here at the Children's Center, for young victims of abuse and neglect. We are a team of community based, child-oriented and child-caring professionals and volunteers who treat, teach, intervene, and advocate for those who have fallen victim of child abuse and human trafficking.  As the need continues to grow in Medina County, so has our mission. This June, the Children's Center announces its groundbreaking ceremony and capital campaign for a new and larger home which will be located on East Smith Road, close to The Avenue at Medina. We are grateful to Medina Sunrise Rotary and our other community partners who are committed to making a difference in the lives of children in our community and beyond, through their time, talents and treasures.

"These children are a part of our community," said Rhonda Wurgler.  "When they hurt, we are all hurt. It becomes a community problem and the Children's Center of Medina County is reaching out to you for a community solution."
