Roger Hasser was inducted as the new Medina Sunrise Rotary Club president this morning in the "Passing of the Gavel" ceremony, an honored Rotary tradition signifying the responsibility associated with the office of club president.

Jack Young, Past Rotary District Governor and presiding Rotary District Officer, accepted the gavel from past club president representative Daryl Kubilus, signifying the return of responsibility which the outgoing president was entrusted upon assuming presidency.  He then passedd the gavel to the incoming club president Roger Hassler, demonstrating his confidence in the president's ability to handle the responsibility of the office of president and maintain or better the club and fulfill the Rotary motto of "Service Above Self."

Following a warm Rotary welcome, Roger thanked his wife Nancy, the Board, fellow Rotarians, and guest Joe Grimsic. He concluded the meeting by recognizing Judy Cross as the new club treasurer and thanking her for accepting the responsibilities of this important office.
