Medina Sunrise Rotary Program Chair David Sheldon welcomed Bethany Dentler, Executive Director of Medina County Economic Development Corporation to a full room of business and community leaders at Pride One in Medina.
"In Medina County, we know there are workforce challenges and we are taking them head on!" announced Bethany Dentler (MCEDC). "Partnering with our schools, companies and workforce partners in education and career development, we are solving the workforce challenges of tomorrow while addressing those of today."

Being a part of MCEDC means proudly supporting our work in attracting, retaining and expanding businesses throughout Medina County, consistently rated as the 3rd fastest growing county in Ohio. Our membership is a strong representation of the business in the county and we offer great networking opportunities, energy benefits, and information on all the development projects around the county.
Medina County, chartered in 1812, is located in northern Ohio and covers 422 square miles. The county has enjoyed continued growth over 60 years, as residents of nearby Cleveland in Cuyahoga County have moved to Medina and surrounding counties to escape the strain of urban life. Beginning in the late 1860s, A.I. Root's bee-keeping became a major industry in the county. Today, Medina's leading industries include Ravago America's new 500,000 square foot plastics logistics and distribution center. Medina is also the home to The Medina County Port Authority's (MCPA) fiber optic cable network which offers best-in-class connectivity service spanning of 151 miles of dark fiber throughout Medina County and, connects all major metropolitan areas in the County with 144 strands of dark fiber and providing connectivity to the existing fiber network in Cuyahoga and Summit Counties.
